Seeu is the one who leads the story into being by kidnapping young Kaguya, who is rumored to be the Princess of Ananai (or girl of the choosing). Using an instrument called the Collapser, only two in existence, he teleports her to another dimension of our world. Though he does not personally escort her there, he leaves her with his living doll, "Gold". This doll, a robotic boy without expression or emotion, obeys her commands almost to the point of indecency!
When Kaguya is again facing an imminent kidnapping, Seeu enters the scene again and takes her to his palace on Asu. His planet is now deteriorated due to a plague that killed all inhabitants except him. He lived many years alone, never having been touched by a living being. Kaguya also spends many days in solitude, which unnerves her. She thrives on physical contact, and she insults him for this when he finally shows himself to her.
Seeu seems willing to comply with her wishes, cleaning rooms in the palace and burying failed copies of the living doll he constructed. But when she tells him she cannot live without being touched, he is unable to help her.
